Sounds like a RICO case. Good, now just make sure they are not back on the streets in a couple of years.

Hold them with no bond. Send a very loud message. I feel 20 or more years is very much appropriate. Especially the douche that pointed an illegally obtained gun at police. If they are let back out on the streets in less than five years, what's the entire point of signing RICO laws? From this perspective, the State must show, and send a sharp message to those that indulge in organized, or in these idiots case, disorganized crime, will not have the proverbial pot for pissing in. Send them to that empty, super max prison to rot.

So please use this as an example. Lock them up, and don't let them out in a few years. 20 or more is appropriate.
