What’s in Giordano’s pizzas, trustee asks - Chicago Sun-Times

What’s in Giordano’s pizzas, trustee asks - Chicago Sun-Times

Well I just read an article about these slick, sick mega-corps putting High Fructose Corn Syrup in kids, and our milk, so why not ask what else are you clowns poisoning us with? I guess now we all know how we became the "Fattest Country In The World". Ship our jobs overseas, make us work for lower wages, and hypnotize us into buying food with SAND as an ingredient. Yep, that should do the trick. Oh wait, I almost forgot about all those shiny gadgets that can fit in our pockets, or lay on our bellies as we walk around cities and towns completely distracted as a bus or car nearly mows us down.

So yeah, what is in that pizza? As for myself, it better be real cheese, real sausage, real pepperoni, and mushrooms.

Rep. Joe Walsh: Sun-Times story on child support issues a ‘hit piece’ - Chicago Sun-Times

Rep. Joe Walsh: Sun-Times story on child support issues a ‘hit piece’ - Chicago Sun-Times

"A hit piece"? Really? Really?

This is what irks me about these non-apologetic politicians. Here we have the classic case of a dead-beat dad, and he has the raw nerve to complain. Last time I checked, he should be locked up for racking up such a large amount of missed payments. Isn't that the way the State treats POOR People? Yes it is. So I ask, why hasn't he been served? Why does his ex-wife have to sue? Could it be because of budget cuts, the Department of Children and Family Services let him slide? Why haven't they GARNISHED his wages? Is he exempt? I don't think so.

It isn't a "Hit Piece" dead-beat dad. It's you not being a man and making sure the children you brought into this world are taken care of. That's rule number one of fatherhood. But we know that's something your irresponsible, dead-beat ass can't deal with. So continue doing what you do best, blame others.

A "Hit Piece"? Yeah right dead-beat.

Tea Party Rep. Joe Walsh sued for $100,000 in child support - Chicago Sun-Times

Tea Party Rep. Joe Walsh sued for $100,000 in child support - Chicago Sun-Times

I hope you un-educated voters are happy with this hypocrite you put in office.

Now he's sucking up taxpayer dollars with FREE health care, and has the audacity to not even take care of his kids. Way too go un-educated voters. You voted him in because you were LIED too. He told you he was going to get you jobs, and cut spending. What he didn't tell you, was that he would cut spending on services you so desperately need. You know, Medicare, Medicaid, things like that. Buyers remorse my ass! This is just pathetic. I can tell you this, he proved a point about a "Sucker being born every minute". He sure sucked you nincompoops into voting for him. So much for "Family Values". Now who's the Liar? Joe Walsh, of course.

But here's the kicker. The 24/7 "News" (Question mark there) cycle keeps putting him on the air to continue lying. Calling all brain matter! Knock it off, and stop insulting, and rubbing this tool in our faces. I do wish we had "Recall Petitions" for the people he claims he represents. It is all too clear that he doesn't. He's only out for himself. Don't believe me? Ask his kids.

10 pounds of pot, $70K in cash found in Elmhurst home - Chicago Sun-Times

10 pounds of pot, $70K in cash found in Elmhurst home - Chicago Sun-Times

Once again the "War On Drugs" continues its failure.

Just a couple of days ago there was an article on how law enforcement might be winning, and then you get an article like this. Let's face it folks, the DEA was wrong to put out that bone-headed statement about "marijuana having no medicinal benefits". If that was the case, why are so many shops popping up around the states? Why have doctors told them time, after time it does?

Again I reiterate, just legalize it, and treat it the same way we treat booze, and tobacco products. After-all, it's nothing more but an income boost for state governments. That will be the only way to stop the GOP/Baggers from gutting schools, teachers, police, fire fighters, emt's, infrastructure, and transportation funding.

10 pounds of pot? What a waste of resources.

Really? I wonder how much it cost to finally figure that out?

More missing files in David Koschman case, cops still close it - Chicago Sun-Times

More missing files in David Koschman case, cops still close it - Chicago Sun-Times

Boy something sure stinks here.

This article makes that old saying, "It's not what you know, but who you know" very true indeed. It appears this has to go up a notch to the federal level. There are too many witnesses to this tragic event, and way too many unanswered questions. Missing files? That's tampering with evidence. Somebody is not doing their taxpayer funded job.

War on Drugs: Stats, opinions clash on Illinois' War on Drugs - chicagotribune.com

War on Drugs: Stats, opinions clash on Illinois' War on Drugs - chicagotribune.com

I commend law enforcement in the effort of eradicating drugs. But a much simpler solution, and lifting an undo burden off their shoulders is decriminalizing marijuana.

Yes folks I went there. Legalize, and tax the hell out of it. Too simple right?

Woman’s bullets fell out of gun just before she tried to shoot cop - Chicago Sun-Times

Woman’s bullets fell out of gun just before she tried to shoot cop - Chicago Sun-Times

Once again the case for sane, responsible gun legislation is made with this article.

When anyone confronts the NRA, or one of their "Paid" elected officials, they never have a logical defense for a "Carry and Conceal Law". They just respond with a disingenuous, childish remark. They never address why it is so easy for a criminal having such easy access to guns as opposed to the law-abiding citizen with all the burning hoops, and fees such citizens must pay. All you ever get, is that disingenuous, childish remark.

So, for all you zealots, and crack-pots out there, let me once again inform you that I am all for the Second Amendment. What I'm not for, is Lobbyist buying our elected law-makers, and making, forcing them to enact FAILED laws.

Times Do Change: Courtesy Of The Internet

Check This Out:

THE YEAR IS 1911

This will boggle your mind, I know it did mine!

************ ********* ***********

The year is 1911 --- One hundred years ago. What a difference a century makes! Here are some statistics for the Year 1911:

************ ********* ************

The average life expectancy for men was 47 years.

Fuel for this car was sold in drug stores only.

Only 14 percent of the homes had a bathtub.

Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone.

There were only 8,000 cars and only 144 miles of paved roads.

The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.

The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower !

The average US wage in 1910 was 22 cents per hour.

The average US worker made between $200 and $400 per year.

A competent accountant could expect to earn $2000 per year,

A dentist $2,500 per year,

a veterinarian between $1,500 and $4,000 per year,

and a mechanical engineer about $5,000 per year.

More than 95 percent of all births took place at home.

Ninety percent of all Doctors had NO COLLEGE EDUCATION! Instead, they attended so-called medical schools, many of which were condemned in the press AND the government as "substandard."

Sugar cost four cents a pound.

Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen.

Coffee was fifteen cents a pound.

Most women only washed their hair once a month, and used Borax or egg yolks for shampoo.

Canada passed a law that prohibited poor people from entering into their country for any reason.

The Five leading causes of death were:

5. Stroke

The American flag had 45 stars.

The population of Las Vegas , Nevada , was only 30!!!

Crossword puzzles, canned beer, and iced tea hadn't been invented yet.

There was neither a Mother's Day nor a Father's Day.

Two out of every 10 adults couldn't read or write and only 6 percent of all Americans had graduated from high school.

Marijuana, heroin, and morphine were all available over the counter at the local corner drugstores.

Back then pharmacists said, "Heroin clears the complexion, gives buoyancy to the mind, Regulates the stomach and bowels, and is, in fact, a perfect guardian of health!" ( Shocking? )

Eighteen percent of households had at least one full-time servant or domestic help.

There were about 230 reported murders in the ENTIRE U.S.A. !

I am now going to forward this to someone else without typing it myself.

From there, it will be sent to others all over the WORLD - all in a matter of seconds!

Try to imagine what it may be like in another 100 years.

2 police officers shot on West Side; cops kill man in separate shooting - Chicago Sun-Times

2 police officers shot on West Side; cops kill man in separate shooting - Chicago Sun-Times

Hey NRA do you still insist on peddling your "Conceal and Carry Legislation"?

Well I have some news for you. The criminals just don't care how much money you attempt to stuff in our elected officials pockets, as you can plainly tell by this article. Your legislation does not help law enforcement, it hurts them. Like I've stated before, I'm all for the Second Amendment. But what I just can't tolerate, is organizations of your ilk, hampering hard working police officers from doing their respective jobs by adding nonsensical, and additional burdens upon them.

Do you really think crime rates will just magically drop over-night by lobbying our elected officials to enact this waste of legislation? No. Get this through your zealot minds. Criminals don't care if your an armed civilian, or an officer of the law. They have better access too guns as opposed to the law abiding citizens. Why don't you make yourself useful by helping our law makers, and police officers come up with common-sense legislation? You know, stuff like longer sentences, background checks at "Gun Shows", and laser imprints. Simple stuff like that instead of fighting law enforcement from implementing such measures.

Conceal and Carry? What a joke. Criminals don't care. They will shoot at anybody, even law enforcement. Go ahead NRA, read the article and stop hampering law enforcement. It makes me wonder, what side are you really on?

Chicago's MillerCoors eyes growth

Chicago's MillerCoors eyes growth

Uh oh, another corporation re-tooling its strategy for your hard earned dollars.

At the very least you have to give them credit. They are not shy about telling you what is really up. Yet when you look at the mind-boggling amount of money we spend on such products, we never consider the fact that much of those bucks, goes right into these guys pockets, who then in-turn, give some of it to our elected representatives for crushing workers rights. Strange days indeed when you think about it.

Sure sales are down, but it's their own fault for always looking at the bottom line, and gutting the workforce. You know, the people that buy those beers. So now they are gearing up to come at you with a different ploy. Well if you are an independent thinking person, let's see if we can keep those sales down forever and start making our own beer. After-all, we know exactly what they will do with any money they make off us. They just may get so scared, they will possibly lobby for banning "Home Brew Kits". Hell, I would not put anything past them since "Citizen United". They have the money for buying politicians, but they can't buy us.

Need A Beer Kit for getting started? Look no further.

MR.BEER® Home Brewing Kits. America's #1 Home Brewing System. Makes a great gift!

U.S. decrees that marijuana has no accepted medical use

U.S. decrees that marijuana has no accepted medical use

Now this is some major bull.

How many times does one have to document the scientific evidence that marijuana does help people with various medical needs? The DEA knows this, and we also know this.

We all know that it was the lumber barons that pushed, paid, and lobbied for the banning of marijuana during the 1930's. They were victorious in 1936. But what was their reason? Well that's really simple to explain. They (The Lumber Barons), saw marijuana/hemp as a threat. A threat too of all things, newspapers.

Times have truly changed since the 1930's. Yet the medically proven evidence of the benefits of marijuana have not changed. So for the DEA to issue such a ridiculous statement demonstrates a new powerful lobby that has slipped inside the DEA.

Makes you wonder who that new powerful lobby is? My bet is the prison industry, public, and private.

After today, Illinois will be only state with concealed-carry ban

After today, Illinois will be only state with concealed-carry ban

All anyone has to do is look at the "Hard Data" of all the States with such laws.

It is a simple 50-50 crap shoot, We know it, and they know it. What the zealots, and NRA fail to acknowledge, is the simple fact, criminals just don't care. They (criminals) still have better access to guns then the over-charged, law-abiding citizen. Now that folks is a Fact.

I truly doubt if anyone would need anymore "Hard Data" then that.

Aldermen want 8:30 p.m. curfew for Chicago kids under age of 12 - Chicago Sun-Times

Throw this in the "Pending Legislation" also. Up the ante for fines.

You may as well raise the fines if these parent/parents can't get their kids under control. And while you are at it, how about 10:00 pm for those 17 and under? And better still, how about making that during the weekdays, and weekends, no exceptions. Hey, it's the only way they will ever know how serious you will become.

Cops in schools too costly: CPS - Chicago Sun-Times

Cops in schools too costly: CPS - Chicago Sun-Times

Now this is a very interesting scenario, and question.

I can see if in some schools a presence may not be necessary. Yet, where there is a gang menace, yes indeed police officers should maintain a high visibility in any effort for deterring potential crimes, and threats for students.

What say you Chicago?

Ald. Burke could give up bodyguards, or have them yanked - Chicago Sun-Times

Ald. Burke could give up bodyguards, or have them yanked - Chicago Sun-Times

Pay for it out of your own pockets Alderman Burke.

Once again I submit that you have no sane reason for having a police detail back then, and even now. How on earth could a Judge side with you on claims made up entirely in your head? Need proof Alderman? If someone did make you feel that you WERE in danger, why haven't they been arrested? I haven't heard, or read anything about that. I'm sure the rest of us taxpayers haven't either.

Pay for it yourself if you still feel that way, and get your hands out of our police department, and pockets. Hell, go hire Xe (Blackwater) if you please. You might as well since you both like ripping off taxpayers.
