Governor, attorney general fight ComEd legislation - Chicago Sun-Times

Governor, attorney general fight ComEd legislation - Chicago Sun-Times

In all honesty, ComEd can justify this "Bill" by telling the truth. They just want to put the boots on the necks of consumers so they can continue living high off the hog.

If they scream this would put them out of business, good riddance. Yes folks, let them go out of business, and let the State take it over. Yeah I hear murmurs of "that's socialist philosophy". So what. What have they done for the people of Illinois besides screw them time, after time? This company, and any other utility, just isn't "TOO Big To Fail". Their rampant greed will be their undoing, so let them fail, pack their bags, and find some other chump State that will allow them to continue fleecing consumers.

In essence, it's all a domino effect. Take Vermont for instance. Health care cost spiral out of control because of the greed of insurance companies. Vermont said (Paraphrasing here) "Enough, let's look out for the people, and solve this on our own." An approach such as that will make other companies, no matter the product, think twice about screwing over consumers. People in other States elected GOP governors, and State assemblies in record numbers last year, much to their shock at how they boot-lick companies into giving tax break, after tax break. Only to see these very same companies/utilities jack up prices on consumers after picking their wallets, and purses clean with ZERO accountability. The people in this country are not asleep. They will see what's going on in Vermont, and the battle here in Illinois with such companies, and demand those newly elected GOP governors, and State assemblies follow such examples, or be VOTED out of office.

The people of this country does not ask for anything but a fair shake. When rampant greed denies them that fair shake, they know what to do about it, they vote. ComEd isn't "Too Big To Fail". They can, and should if their only agenda is fleecing consumers.

Hey Governor Quinn, follow Vermont on the Health care blueprint.
